Sputnik has overseen the arts side of Catalyst Festival since its inception in 2013, putting on creative workshops, exhibitions, poetry afternoons, live music events, and more. We’ll be doing the same in 2018, but we’re adding another great reason for creatives and artists to get booked in.

Next year, we’ll have our first ever ‘artist in residence’: the brilliant Ally Gordon. Ally splits his time between working as a fine artist, teaching at Leith School of Art, Edinburgh and running Morphe, a national Christian network of artists. We will be hosting an exhibition of Ally’s work, and Ally will be with us each day, getting alongside artists and explaining the importance of the arts to the festival at large.

As usual, we’ll also be showcasing artists from around the network; but there is no specific, open submission project for the festival this year. If you were looking to contribute something, perhaps you’d be interested in the brand new Chaiya Art Awards.

The booking price will increase after 30th November, so book in now. We look forward to seeing you there.
