About this deal

The consumer unit is not near the front door but there is a 2-gang socket next to the door with only a network router plugged in at the moment.

The FAIL-SAFE transformers are suitable for the construction of both SELV and PELV electrical circuits. Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page. I was thinking about burying it in the wall with some cheaper enclosure but can't find one slim enough (below 25mm). This BG Nexus CUB1 bell transformer is part of the BG range of control devices and is suitable for use within any BG metal or insulated consumer unit and any enclosure.

Remove the 230 V high voltage line (brown) and neutral (blue) cables from the input terminals and place to one side, ensuring that these are not touching any other cables, metal or conductive surfaces. When choosing an enclosure it is essential to ensure it provides the necessary protection for your equipment. Given the location of the CU, it is not the simplest path for a cable run, so looking at other options, including mounting the transformer nearer the door. The Comatec DIN Rail Transformer of the TBD2 range have been conceived for installation in the Home and industrial Automation sector. Do not have a Ring doorbell but bought this as a tidy housing for a doorbell transformer for a Nest doorbell.Enclosure for DIN Rail Transformer will simply replace your existing chime and transformer so you can install Ring DIN Rail Transformer. Obviously nobody wants a transformer on show and this is a good solution (you could roll your own with a standard 2gang pattress box and cover plate, but it's not as suitable, e.

To hear alert sounds throughout your home, you can add the Ring Skill to any Alexa-enabled speaker, or add a Ring Chime to your system. I have a plug socket in cupboard next to the porch, so just needed a small 4mm hole drilled and passed the cable through.

However, I've not used it, instead opting for a normal Honeywell/Friedland transformer for my Ring doorbell with a smaller footprint in my coat cupboard.
